The Public Works and Transport Ministry held a presentation for driving instructors about legislations approved by the Council of Ministers in 2017 in the framework of EU harmonisation process, concerning instructors, driving tests and other issues that were, ahead of their implementation on 2 May, 2019.
The presentation on “Reform and Education Programme in Traffic” was held today at 18.00, at the Court of Accounts meeting room.
Speaking at the presentation opening, Public Works and Transport Ministry Undersecretary Kemal Bağzıbağlı said driving education was crucial in traffic safety and licence holder who are not well-trained pose a threat to traffic safety.
Bağzıbağlı said prospective drivers entering a driving test should not think “I will surely pass”. For this reason in 2019, prospective drivers will have to work hard to succeed, and the mindset that is also carried by instructors will transform.
Kemal Bağzıbağlı shared details of the legislations approved by the Council of Ministers in 2017 and also shared details of the planned work to take place in January-May 2019.
