Following the completion of the repair works on Haspolat-Taşkent road, Ministry of Public Works and Transportation, Department of Highways will start the maintenance and repair works for the 25km long section between Yılmazköy junction on the Lefkoşa-Güzelyurt dual carriage way and Hamitköy junction at the eastern end of Dr. Fazıl Küçük Boulevard in Lefkoşa.
Within the scope of the works planned to begin next week, the collapses and deteriorations will be repaired in the section from the TRNC Fairground junction on the Fazıl Küçük Boulevard to the Hamitköy traffic lights and in the section from the TRNC Fairground junction to Yılmazköy junction on Lefkoşa-Güzelyurt divided road.
During the maintenance and repair works, a total of 2 thousand tons of asphalt will be used for asphalting an area of 5,500 square meters.
Salih Köroğlu Construction Ltd. is the contractor company and the total cost of the works, which are tendered separately as Fazıl Küçük Boulevard and Hamitköy-Haspolat is 1.1 million TL.
