After a decision approved by the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, TRNC licence plate lorries will be able to caary goods from Turkey to the TRNC without pecuniary guarantees.
The autority for internationl transportation was granted to TRNC lincence plate lorries within the framework of a limited quota.
According to this, goods from third countries stored in warehouses in Turkey can be transported to the TRNC in a TRNC licence plated lorry without pecuniary guarantees.
The decision will bring about cheaper freight costs in imports to TRNC, while also increasing the work capacities of TRNC plated lorries.
The decision to give international transportation powers to TRNC plated lorries was signed in the Land Transport Karma Commission (KUKK) meeting last month by the TRNC Public Works and Transport Ministry and the Turkish Transport and Infrastructure Ministry.
