TRAFFIC LIGHTS VIOLATION DETECTION CAMERAS WILL BE ACTIVATED TOMORROW

“Traffic Lights Violation Detection Cameras” set up as a pilot project by the The Ministry of Public Works and Transportation’s Traffic Department at the crossroads near Atatürk Spor Salonu (indoor sports hall) on Dr. Fazıl Küçük Bulvarı in Lefkoşa, will be activated tomorrow.

The cameras will be able to detect traffic lights, speeding and lane violations and photograph the vehicle.  Drivers using the crossroads are kindly urged to follow the traffic light rules and the maximum speed limit which is 65km/h. 

On the other hand, point-to-point cameras will be installed between Gönyeli Rundabout and Boğazköy junction on the Lefkoşa-Girne dual carriage way tomorrow. An annoucement will be made before the point-to-point cameras become active.
