The deadline for changing the licence plate of vehicles had been set as 31 January 2019, with a change in the regulation by the Council of Ministers decision.

Maintenance Works launched on the Çatalköy-Değirmenlik Road (Girne mountain road) on March 5, 2018 had been completed. Starting from tomorrow (13.03.2018), the temporary usage limitation, implemented since March 5, 2018, will be lifted. 

“There is a lot of work to do and we will immediately begin providing solutions to the problems” Atakan said. 

Tolga Atakan announced that works on Girne-Değirmenlik Road (aka the mountain road) is planned to be completed by Tuesday. 

Starting from March 5, 2018; vehicles carrying less than nine (9) passengers will be banned from using the Değirmenlik-Girne road between 9am and 7pm. Starting the same day, heavy duty vehicles weighing 5 tons or more will be banned from using the road between 7pm and 9am.
