Central Tender Commission launched a tender for the construction of checkpoint cabins, police cabins, car park and telecommunications and mains water infrastructure for the Derinya border checkpoint.
According to the announcement made by the Central Tender Commission, the value of the “Derinya Border Checkpoint and Car Park” project was valued at 2 million TL.
Undersecretary of the Ministry of Public Works and Transportation Kemal Bağzıbağlı said studies for opening a tender for the Aplıç border checkpoint in Lefke were to be completed very soon. For Aplıç, a tender will be opened for the construction of checkpoint cabins, police station, landscaping and telecommunications and mains water infrastructure.
Bağzıbağlı said that both tenders would close on July 18, 2018.
A tender for the purchase of electric infrastructure and materials was open a short time ago. The police force is expected to announce vacancies for the recruitment of personnel before the opening of the new checkpoints.
