Traffic inspectors of the Ministry of Public Works and Transportation’s Traffic Department, held inspections on rentals and public transport vehicles at Ercan Airport.
The inspections took place between 5pm and 8pm yesterday and was held jointly with the traffic police. Minister of Public Works and Transportation Tolga Atakan was also present during the inspections which resulted in many fines being issued for lack of operation permissions, lack of professional driving licence, not operating the taximeter, illegal transport and outdated road tax.
Minister Atakan said the inspections will intensify and implemented for each route in all areas.
